Sticky Keys - Free

What this is:
- A free taste of Sticky Keys. No account, no token, just open it.
- Real-time harmonic feedback as you play.
- The circle of fifths and the orb, centered, with the chord scroller on the left and the scale scroller on the right.
- Major (Ionian) scale in all 12 keys, plus Chromatic.

What you don't get yet (the full version has these):
- The full 660+ scale catalog (modes, exotic, blues, bebop, jazz, world scales)
- Achievement grid and progress tracking
- Teaching mode and student profiles
- MIDI file import and playback
- Difficulty settings
- Visual themes beyond day and night

How to install:
1. Extract the full zip to a folder you own (Documents, Desktop, somewhere under your user profile). Do not run it from inside the zip viewer.
2. Keep the folder structure intact: the .exe needs the assets and locales folders next to it.
3. Double-click KafkaKaleidoscope_Free.exe. That is the old name of the app. It has to stay
for now, otherwise existing shortcuts and antivirus permissions break.
4. On first launch Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info" (small link), then "Run anyway". This is normal for new independent apps that aren't code-signed yet.

How to use:
- Plug in a MIDI keyboard, either via USB or a virtual MIDI driver.
- Play notes. The orb and the circle of fifths respond in real time.
- Chord names appear on the left scroller, completed scales on the right.

If MIDI input is missing, plug your keyboard in and wait a couple of seconds. The app
will pick it up on its own. If it still does not, press R.

If the app opens to a black or broken window, update your GPU drivers and confirm OpenGL support on that machine.

When you're ready for the full version, with 660+ scales, achievement tracking, teaching mode, and progress that follows you across sessions, head to stickykeys.music.
